Boris is a character created to emulate the spirit of a cat who has tried everything at least once. He believes in the concept of being a student for life. This is reflected on the many adventures he goes on and the wide variety of advice he can- no- will provide.
He puts up a stern and temperamental front, but Boris will eventually grow on the readers of the brew as they get to know his warmer side. This is shown especially when he is depicted to be exploring something interesting in an illustration.
As much as Boris wants to pretend to be poised and graceful, you can see that in every picture he is actually a joyful cat just wanting to learn all he can.
As a character, he is very likeable because he acts quite weird. He dresses like a human and pretends to be hip by hopping on the latest trends, but in reality he’s just like a tired dad trying his best. In an endearing way, the readers can be weird together with him as he is a very relatable character.
